Just over 2 minutes and well worth the time: Here is Chris McChesney, one of the authors of “The 4 Disciplines of Execution,” discussing how all the 4DX high performers said accountability was really the key to the system.
For the uninitiated, 4DX is a system to ensure your team makes progress on the things that really matter. Many of my clients use the method, especially the first of the four disciplines, “focus on the wildly important.”
The authors say a WIG (Wildly Important Goal) lives at the corner of Really Important and Not Going to Happen on Its Own. We’ve all had the frustration of not making progress on the things that really matter to us. This method is a way through that.
Shepherding teams through the 4DX process is one of my favorite things to do. If I can help you execute, contact me.
