Another good reason to pause

“Beware the ides of March.” It’s when that notable executive, Julius Caesar, was assassinated.

We’re past March 15. In fact, in a week, March will have one day left.

Think about that. We’ve “just” come off a hard year, one many felt was an absolute slog of a marathon.

And suddenly, we are 25-percent DONE with the year after that year.

March is a practical month for taking stock. What of your plan is working? What isn’t? How can you adjust for the remaining three quarters?

Author and consultant Les McKeown suggests a review exercise to address March. He argues that March is the most dangerous month for all executives.

It boils down to wanting change and then executing on it–something covered in this blog before.

Some further encouragement: You do something in order to be something. As we often say, we’re human beings, not human doings.

If that doesn’t make sense, before you burst into a flurry of activity, take a moment to pause. Think through your future state. And contact Hip Socket if we can help you do that: Exploration sessions are complementary.
