Growing your leadership habits

Today, let’s explore leadership habits.

As promised to subscribers of the Hip Socket mailing list, I am passing along a nugget almost daily. Here’s something I have had bookmarked for years.

It’s unsurprising that my readers are interested in leadership habits: The most popular episodes of our “It doesn’t take a genius” podcast (Apple, Spotify, PodBean and YouTube) have the words “habit” or “change” in the title.

It makes sense. Hip Socket helps leaders wrestle and grow. Good leaders grow good habits. And leaders manage (constant?) change.

Leadership habits are key.

So this one from Carey Niewhof is golden: “12 Often Overlooked Practices Great Leaders Develop That Poor Leaders Don’t.”

Leadership habits: It's about habits, not age, size or position.
Leadership habits: It’s about habits, not age, size or position.

Which is your strongest leadership habit? Which is your opportunity? How would growing the habit change your work and home? What gets in the way of wrestling with it?
